Fly Killers

An overview of the mosquito killer and other insect control products and systems.

Let’s face it.  Bugs are annoying.  In fact, while I don’t like to be a fly killer for no good reason, bugs are horribly annoying and I can’t stand the presence of them.  I think that this is the general consensus amongst all people.  Not only can certain ones like mosquitoes and wasps bite you and endanger your health, but just about all bugs are dirty and carriers of different kinds of bacteria.  Even things like moths, which won’t ordinarily attack you, ruin clothes and make holes in them!  No one wants to have to deal with anything like this if they can stand it.

I live in an area with a lot of flies, and finally got to a point where I couldn’t take it anymore.  I decided to do some research on the fly killer to see if there were any affordable options for fly killers that would get rid of these pests from my house, without putting too much of a dent in my wallet.

From my time spent learning about the fly killer, the good news is that I’ve come to realize there are many affordable options out there that should effectively control the bug situation wherever you’re looking to do this.

There are two categories of people who may be in search or in need of a fly killer.  Let’s quickly break them down.

The first group of people involves people who own a home or a business with the presence of many flies.  Whether it’s the buzzing noise, the overall unattractiveness of it, or some other annoyance, no one wants flies around.  Especially if they’re going near any of your food.  With that said, someone in this category will be looking for a fly killer to give them some relief and some peace of mind.

The second group of people looking for a fly killer will be those forced to do so because of a law.  There are many businesses, especially restaurants, that experience this and they’re required to use a fly killer for health and safety reasons.  Flies in food can easily cause both sanitary and health issues, and it’s crucial that flies are kept away from food.

Regardless of which category you might fall in, there are a variety of fly killers that you should be able to consider.  The most basic fly killer will normally use a combination of an ultraviolet lamp (which lures the fly to the trap), and a glue board, which naturally ends up killing the fly.

You may be wondering how much these cost.  The basic fly killers can be found for less than $50 per unit, and a higher end fly killer can cost a couple hundred dollars or more.  Much of this depends on the size and the technology powering the device.

If you’re looking to buy a fly killer, you’ll be happy to know that there are usually some great deals offered by online retailers, and I’ve always seen the best prices online as opposed to my local hardware or department stores.

Most of all, I hope that you find something that fits your budget and your objectives, thereby creating a fly-free environment in your home.
